Good coffee and relaxed atmosphere. Aaaahhh.

A couple months ago, I went to Urban Grounds and had a decent espresso. As I was passing by there this morning, I decided to get during the morning rush, when I assumed their best barista would be operating. What a disappointment!First, upon entering, I was assaulted by a strong, rotting smell. On enquiry, the staff claimed ignorance.I proceeded to order a standard double-shot of espresso. I received something truly vile in a paper cup that did not in any way resemble an espresso. They did offer to make another, and I dubiously accepted. The second was potable, but certainly nothing I would expect from a place with "espresso" painted on the front window.

Nice comfy quaint place to enjoy a cup of coffee, Danish and cozy up with some WiFi or book.

It wasnt bad but my experience didn't make me want to go back. The coffee was a little burnt and my Mocha was gritty.

Interesting atmosphere, good coffee, usually quiet. Smallish tables, aged sofa. You often get service without even a smile.

Been a regular for years. It is a great place to sip and read.

Good people and kitschy decor plus dependable coffee and teas (all very good) - make for an experience I try to have 2-3 times a month or more. I often meet business connections here and have meetings - and mostly have had great experiences.
